Cooking Class (Ages 8–14)
Calling all young foodies! In our Cooking Class, kids ages 8 to 14 will roll up their sleeves and dive into the world of cooking through fun, hands-on culinary adventures. Each session is designed to teach age-appropriate kitchen skills while building confidence, creativity, and a love for food.
What We’ll Cook Up:
- Fun and tasty recipes: from pasta to tacos, baked treats, and more!
- Seasonal and international dishes that introduce new flavors and ingredients.
Skills They’ll Learn:
- Kitchen Safety: Proper hand washing, safe knife handling, and stove/oven awareness
- Cooking Techniques: Chopping, mixing, measuring, sautéing, baking, and more
- Nutrition Basics: Learning about food groups and making balanced meals
- Teamwork & Clean-Up: Collaborating with peers and cleaning as you go
- Creativity: Customizing recipes and exploring their own food ideas
- Following Directions: Understanding step-by-step instructions and timing
